On December 13, as part of an international music and cultural festival held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the legendary pop ensemble “GULDER” presented a concert performance.
The concert program featured 20 musical and choreographic performances combining Kazakh and international cultural traditions. The audience heard the folk song “Dudarai” and enjoyed choreographic compositions such as “Akku”, “Asatayak”, and “Kuanysh Duman”, alongside Malaysian, Mongolian, and Chinese dances.
More than 300 spectators from different countries attended the concert. The event received positive feedback from international audiences and once again confirmed the ensemble’s high artistic level.
Preparations for the concert lasted for approximately three months. During rehearsals, the program was repeatedly refined and adapted to the characteristics of the international audience. According to the ensemble’s Artistic Director Abzal Osimbayev, the group continues to preserve and modernize Kazakhstan’s national pop heritage by expanding its repertoire and artistic forms.
Founded in 1969, the “GULDER” ensemble is considered one of the symbols of Kazakhstan’s pop and choreographic art. Since the renewal of its lineup, around 90 new works have been added to the ensemble’s repertoire.
The performance in Malaysia became the ensemble’s 13th foreign touring destination with its renewed lineup. Over the past three years, the group has successfully represented Kazakhstan’s culture in Sweden, France, Germany, Latvia, China, and Turkey.
