To the accompaniment of the orchestra, I performed this song in Russian, English and French. The intelligentsia of America paid special respect to us", - reminisce Roza Tazhibaevna.

This is evidenced by her civil position in relation to the ecological catastrophe in the Aral Sea, the radioactive contamination of the Semipalatinsk polygon, and the December events.
" I went through the war. But what is happening in the Aral Sea cannot be stopped with a single word. A war can be stopped, an atomic bomb can be stopped, an airplane can be stopped, but it cannot be stopped. We speak here, and there nature does its work. What did our "greatest scientists" do? How can I talk about such scientists that they kill an entire nation in the womb! At another time, we would say that this is sabotage, but what will we say if they are academicians of the USSR, heroes of social labor, laureates twice, thrice? On the Kazakh territory there is: in Semipalatinsk - a test site, in Baikonur - a cosmodrome, in the Aral Sea - poison. How to live Kazakhs? If it were abroad, in America, then, as if they were shouting that they are killing an entire nation ...
I was in those places, it was very hard for me. Children are born and they have no eyes, no palate, no hair on their heads, no arms, no legs. What does it mean? Who should be asked? Who needs to speak? What level of authority do you need to reach to hear the pain, grief, tragedy of an entire nation? ", - Roza Tazhibaevna told the whole truth on behalf of the people in 1988 at a session of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR.
It follows from this that in addition to a brilliant life on stage, Roza Baglanova had an equally bright role as a public and political figure.
