The ensemble “BIRLIK” was established under the State Academic Concert Organization “Qazaqconcert” named after Roza Baglanova with the aim of forming an international artistic collective that studies and performs dances of the peoples of the world at a professional level, accompanied by live instrumental music.
The ensemble also seeks to introduce the younger generation of Kazakhstan to the art and culture of different nationalities, as well as to strengthen in the public consciousness the ideas of multiculturalism and the unity of the people of Kazakhstan as a cultural code of the nation.
The creation of the ensemble was preceded by extensive preparatory work, including the development of its repertoire and the selection of 20 outstanding dancers and musicians representing diverse nationalities, including multi-instrumentalists. Artistic Director — Anel Marabayeva
