The ensemble “BIRLIK” was created at the “Qazaqconcert” named after Roza Baglanova in order to form an international group, which studies and performs at a professional level the dances of the various nations of the world with live instrumental accompaniment, to familiarize the young generation of Kazakhstan with the art and culture of different nationalities, as well as to strengthen in the minds of people the multinationality and unity of Kazakhstan as a cultural code of the nation. The creation of the ensemble was preceded by a huge preparatory work on formation of repertoire, selection of 20 best dancers and musicians representing a variety of nationalities and multi-instrumentalists.
