From October 12 to 19, 2025, the Rosa Baglanova State Academic Concert Organization “Qazaqconcert” conducted an international concert tour with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Embassies of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, and Albania.

Concert performances took place in the following countries and cities:

The tour in Serbia was held in three cities — Belgrade, Užice, and Vranje — at some of the country’s leading cultural venues: on October 12 at the Ilija M. Kolarac Foundation in Belgrade, on October 13 at the National Theatre in Užice, and on October 14 at the Bora Stanković Theatre in Vranje.

The musical and artistic program titled “Melodies of the Great Steppe” became the central event dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Serbia. Audiences had the opportunity to experience the distinctive sound of Kazakh music, harmoniously combining ancient ethnic intonations with contemporary artistic forms.

The concerts featured the ethno-folklore ensemble “Turan”, renowned for its virtuoso performances and use of traditional instruments such as the dombra, kobyz, sybyzgy, shan-kobyz, and daulpaz. The ensemble demonstrated exceptional mastery and a modern interpretation of traditional music. Akkanat Smagulova, artist of the State Dance Ensemble “GULDER”, presented vibrant choreographic compositions reflecting the spirit and пластика of Kazakh dance, combining grace, rhythm, and the symbolism of folk motifs. Nursultan Anuarbek and Nursezim Samatkyzy, soloists of the classical department, performed works from world and Kazakh vocal heritage, demonstrating a high level of artistic culture and emotional expressiveness.

The program included iconic works of Kazakh and world musical art: “Aittym Salem, Kalamkas” by Abai Kunanbayev, “Shabyt” by Aktoty Raimkulova, the choreographic composition “Tumarym”, “Kazakh Waltz” by Latif Khamidi, Giacomo Puccini’s “O mio babbino caro”, as well as a number of instrumental, vocal, and dance performances reflecting the richness of Kazakh and world musical culture.

Audience reach in Serbia: approximately 1,300 spectators.

On October 15, 2025, a concert by the ethno-folklore ensemble “Turan” took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, at one of the capital’s most prestigious cultural and business venues — the conference hall of Sofia Hotel Balkan.

Audience reach: 250 spectators.

On October 16, 2025, a concert by the “Turan” ethno-folklore ensemble was held in Bucharest, Romania, at the Ion Dacian National Operetta and Musical Theatre.

Audience reach: 100 spectators.

On October 17, 2025, a concert by the “Turan” ethno-folklore ensemble took place in Debrecen, Hungary, at the Csokonai National Theatre, organized with the support of the partner office of QazTrade.

Audience reach: 350 spectators.

On October 19, 2025, a concert dedicated to the opening of the Days of Kazakh Culture in Albania was held at Sheshi Italia Square in Tirana, the capital of Albania.

Audience reach: 500 spectators.

In the concert programs presented in Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, and Albania, the ethno-folklore ensemble “Turan” demonstrated virtuoso performances of traditional Kazakh music, organically combining ancient melodies of the Great Steppe with modern musical arrangements.

The ensemble’s artists displayed exceptional mastery of traditional instruments such as the dombra, kobyz, sybyzgy, daulpaz, shankobyz, and others representing the rich heritage of Kazakh musical culture. Their performances were distinguished by deep emotionality, expressiveness, and stage charisma, conveying the spirit of nomadic civilization, its philosophy of freedom, and harmony between humanity and nature.

In each country, audiences heard both traditional kuy compositions and folk songs, as well as works by contemporary Kazakh composers, emphasizing the continuity of cultural traditions and the dynamic development of national art.

The overseas concerts of the Rosa Baglanova State Academic Concert Organization “Qazaqconcert” attracted wide public interest and received positive media coverage, becoming a vivid example of promoting Kazakh culture on the international stage. These performances contributed to strengthening cultural ties between countries, developing humanitarian cooperation, and promoting Kazakhstan’s national art abroad.

Each concert received a warm welcome from audiences and high praise from spectators. Representatives of political leadership and diplomatic corps, academic and scientific communities, heads of public organizations, business representatives, cultural and sports figures, as well as local residents, tourists, and members of the Kazakh diaspora attended the performances held in concert halls and open-air venues.
