Qazaqconcert named after Roza Baglanova invites classical music lovers to the “Tango Nuevo” concert. During the evening, the Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra will present a vibrant and thoughtfully curated program that combines the traditions of Argentine musical culture with contemporary interpretations.

The concert consists of two parts.

Part I – “The Angel Trilogy” by Astor Piazzolla:

1. La Muerte del Ángel (The Death of the Angel)
2. La Milonga del Ángel (The Angel’s Milonga)
3. La Resurrección del Ángel (The Resurrection of the Angel)

Part II – “Mi Barrio” Concerto by Argentine composer Fabrizio Gatta, written especially for soloist Antonino Cicero:

• I. Mi Barrio
• II. Martita
• III. Riviver

The program will also feature the Serenade for Strings by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

The concert will be conducted by Georgiy Kozhabekov.

Antonino Cicero is an award-winning musician who has received international recognition both as a soloist and as a member of chamber ensembles. He has collaborated with numerous Italian and international orchestras. His projects have been praised by critics for their artistic quality and originality and have attracted significant media attention. In 2014, he founded the Atipico Danzarin Quartet, dedicated to promoting traditional tango music. Since July 2022, he has served as Artistic Director of Filarmonica Laudamo, the oldest concert society in Sicily.

This musical evening offers a unique blend of celebrated classical masterpieces and refined interpretive artistry. Performed by the orchestra and soloist, these remarkable works will reveal the richness of musical form and expression.
