As part of the 79th Coupe Mondiale Accordion Competition, a creative evening featuring the “Saz&Soul” vocal and instrumental ensemble and the “Samga” instrumental ensemble was held.

The concert programme brought together works from Kazakhstan’s traditional musical heritage and selected masterpieces of world classical music. The evening featured the traditional songs “Küni Qorlan,” “Saulem-Saulem,” and “Kermaу-Aidai,” as well as Tattimbet’s kuи “Sarzhailau,” Kazangap’s “Zhem Su Taskyny” and “Aqzhelen,” along with the works of Sugir Begendikuly “Sugirdin Termesi,” “Dudarai,” and “Zhanym.”

The second part of the programme featured vibrant tango compositions. “Libertango,” “Akula,” and “Oblivion” by Astor Piazzolla, “Tango pour Claude” by Richard Galliano, “El Choclo” by Ángel Villoldo, “La Cumparsita” by Gerardo Matos Rodríguez, and “El Tango de Roxanne” brought a distinctive rhythm and passion to the evening.

International competition laureates Nuray Sheru, Yelzhan Zhetpis, Alibek Almadiev, and the “Gulder” Dance Ensemble also performed alongside the “Saz&Soul” and “Samga” ensembles.

It should be noted that the 79th Coupe Mondiale Accordion Competition is taking place in Astana from August 23 to 27. The World Accordion Competition is organized by the State Academic Concert Organization “Qazaqconcert” named after Roza Baglanova, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
