The Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra presented the “New World” concert at Qazaqconcert

With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra held a concert titled “New World” at the Roza Baglanova State Academic Concert Organization “Qazaqconcert” on June 4, reports ult.kz.

The concert program featured selected works of national and world symphonic music.

As part of the evening, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Akhmet Zhubanov, one of the founders of Kazakh professional music, a dance suite from the opera “Abai” by Akhmet Zhubanov and Latif Khamidi was performed.

The audience also heard the first movement of Edvard Grieg’s “Peer Gynt” suite and Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” by Antonín Dvořák.

The main goal of the concert was to promote symphonic music, honor the creative heritage of national composers, and present the best examples of world classical music to a wider audience.

According to the organizers, such projects contribute to the development of domestic symphonic art and increase public interest in classical music.
