A concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Aitzhan Toktagan was held in Astana

The State Academic Concert Organization “Kazakhconcert” named after Rosa Baglanova, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, hosted the concert “Bizdin Zharmenke – Kui-Shzhire,” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of renowned kui performer, folklorist, and Honored Worker of Arts of Kazakhstan Aitzhan Toktagan.

During the event, the jubilarian received a congratulatory letter from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva. The letter highlighted his significant contribution to the development of kui art, preservation of national folklore heritage, and its transmission to future generations.

The concert became a meaningful and spiritually rich musical evening, vividly showcasing the continuity of the kui tradition. The program featured works by outstanding masters such as Tattimbet, Kurmangazy, Dina Nurpeisova, Akhmet Zhubanov, Tolegen Mombekov, and Nurgisa Tlendiev.

Students of Aitzhan Toktagan from various regions, performers promoting traditional art, and artists of the “Gulder” ensemble took part in the concert.
