04.06.2026

On June 4, 2026, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra presented the concert “Zhaña Älem” (“New World”) at the Qazaqconcert named after Roza Baglanova.

The program featured both Kazakh and international symphonic masterpieces. As part of the celebration marking the 120th anniversary of the birth of Akhmet Zhubanov, the orchestra performed the dance suite from the opera Abai by Akhmet Zhubanov and Latif Khamidi.

The concert also included the First Suite from Peer Gynt by Edvard Grieg and concluded with the evening’s centerpiece, Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” by Antonín Dvořák.

The concert aimed to promote symphonic music, preserve and showcase the legacy of Kazakhstan’s national composers, and introduce audiences to outstanding works of world classical music. Such projects contribute to the development of the country’s symphonic arts and strengthen public interest in academic music.
